Mass Cleaning Drive at Punakha

The Dzongkhag Administration, regional offices, schools, gewog administrations and public of Punakha celebrated the day with mass clean-up drive. The mass cleaning drive is to commemorate the 39th birth anniversary of His Majesty the King, the Punakha Dzongkhag organized a mass clean-up drive with the theme ‘Nation building through cleanliness’. Cleaning campaign is for a notable gesture since it can symbolize many aspirations and although the idea is very simple.

The majority of the waste collected from different locations are lifted to Dzongkhag waste disposal site through Thomde vehicle and few amounts are disposed to disposal pit at their respective location. Meanwhile, the dzongkhag pledge to keep the environment clean. The Dzongkhag Administration would like to thank all the stakeholders who are directly or indirectly engaged in the programme.
