17th July, 2008: Aftermath of democratic election has created many shifts in position, mainly due to political ambitions of many aspirant leaders who were in the civil service leading them to vacate their position. Similarly the vacuum created by the former Attorney General has been filled by one of the prominent figure in judiciary circle.
The Dasho Drangpon of Punakha, Rizin Penjor was nominated as the new Attorney General of Bhutan. On 15th of July, Dasho was escorted to the Capital by entourage from Punakha. The entourage included sector heads, court officials and Dasho Dzongda.
