The Environment Sector of Punakha Dzongkhag Administration is dedicated to ensuring a clean and sustainable environment for both present and future generations. It works to conserve and protect the natural environment while promoting sustainable, people-friendly development. The sector is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing environmental activities within the Dzongkhag, and for monitoring cross-sectoral issues related to water, forestry, and waste management.
