Reopening of Tshachu Pond at Komatshachu

This Tshachu pond at Komatshachu, Goenshari Gewog, Punakha was opened to the public today following complete reconstruction undertaken by Mr. Gedun Pelzang from Thimphu. Mr. Pelzang spent about Nu. 650,000 and personally supervised the construction works by staying at the site for 70 days. This is one of 3 ponds at Komashachu believed to have healing powers to cure many illnesses, especially broken bones and joint aches with many people from across the country coming to soak in the Tshachu. Punakha Dzongkhag Administration greatly appreciates the generous contribution made by Mr. Pelzang.
