Her Excellency Ms. Ruchira Kamboj, the Ambassador of India to Bhutan visited Punakha on 29th September 2021. Her Excellency was received by the Dzongdag and officials of Punakha Dzongkhag at the Multi-Sports Complex at Khuruthang.
The Dzongdag, on behalf of the people of Punakha expressed his deep appreciation to Her Excellency and the Government of India for the generous support provided for the various PTA and SDP activities in the Dzongkhag. Her Excellency visited the Multi-Sports Complex built with financial assistance by the Government of India. This sports complex greatly benefits the sport enthusiasts, especially the youth of Punakha. Her Excellency also visited the Municipal Office which is under construction at Khuruthang with financial assistance from the Government of India. Her Excellency expressed her satisfaction with the sports complex, especially its multi-usage for the people of Punakha. Her Excellency also shared the importance of the unique and special relationship between the two countries and the good will India has for Bhutan, starting from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
The Dzongdag thanked Her Excellency for taking her time to visit Punakha.
