The Civil Service Awards ceremony of the Punakha Dzongkhag Administration was held on December 11, 2018. The Dasho Dzongdag, Punakha Dzongkhag awarded the civil service awards to the recipients.
During the awards ceremony, the Dasho shared that as per the Royal Command of His Majesty, the civil service awards were a way of acknowledging, thanking and expressing gratitude to our civil servants for serving the Tsa-Wa-Sum with much dedication and for the outstanding contribution. It is also to serve as a reminder and acknowledgement of the greater responsibilities that lay ahead.
This year, 64 civil servants from the Dzongkhag were awarded medals and certificates. Among 64 award recipients, 48 were awarded Bronze, 8 were awarded silver, 7 were awarded gold and 1 recipient was awarded lifetime service award recipient.
