Thousands of devotees gathered at Punakha Dzong to receive blessings (Throm-Wang)

The three day annual Punakha Dromche followed by annual Punakha Tshechu ended yesterday. Thousands of people including tourists came to offer prayers and receive blessings. Punakha Dromchoe and Tshechu is one of the most important event in the Dzongkhag.

On the joyous occasion, the Zhung Dratshang, civil servants, armed forces, business community and the public of Punakha Dzongkhag joins the nation in celebrating the 38th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk

The Punakha Dzongkhag organized a cattle show at Dzomi Gewog. More than hundred of participants were gatehered at the cattle show event. The event was co-ordinated by Dzongkhag Livestock sector in collaboration with public of Dzomi and Shenga-Bjimi Gewog.

About 300 students from schools around the country  have gathered at Punakha and participated in various sporting events during the national annual sport meet 2017.
