To commemorate the 400th anniversary since the Zhung Dratshang’s establishment, His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo, His Majesty the 4th Druk Gyalpo, and members of the Royal Family graced the event at the Puna Dewa Chenpoi Phodrang. The Thongdrol of Zhabdrung Rinpoche was unfurled today and devotees also had the golden opportunity to receive a Jelkha of the Rangjung Khasarpani.
His Holiness the Je Khenpo awarded certificates to the 1st batch PhD monks who completed their PhD in Buddhist philosophy this year. HH also awarded Dhar to the 2nd batch of monks pursuing PhD.
His Holiness the Je Khenpo launched the websites of 18 Rabdeys and also inaugurated the “Living Masters of Bhutan Project” which is a special upcoming project to commemorate 400 years since the founding of the Zhung Dratshang and pay homage to our Bhutanese Drukpa masters who are reservoirs of knowledge and wisdom.
