Punakha Dzongkhag commences 4th Dzongkhag Tshogdu session for the 2nd elected local leaders. The members will discuss the issues and outcomes of the 3rd Dzongkhag Tshogdu session followed by the agendas submitted from the different stakeholders. Moreover, the members will discuss the issues related to education, road construction, religion & cultural, Khuruthang town, forestry service, land, health, and other general issues which needs coordination from other sectors.
Thrizin Samten Phuntsho, Shengana-Bjimi Gewog said, “The session is already late. But it had to be delayed due to Punakha Domchoe.” This current session will endorse both the budget for the Financial Year 2019 - 2020 and the 12th Five Year Plan. "The plan has also aligned and incorporated pledges of the newly elected government for endorsement based on the basic necessity of the Dzongkhag," Thrizin Samten Phuntsho said.
The session which commences today will end on Thursday, 14th March 2019.
