Corresponding with the first day of the tenth lunar month, the Central Monk Body led by Dorji Lopen has arrived in Punakha for winter residence.

The Punakha Dzongkhag Administration bids farewell to Mr. Lhatu, who served as a Teacher for 30 years and Mr. Kamal Kumar Rai, who served as a Health Assistant for almost 34 years.

For the first time, Punakha Dzongkhag Administration released a book on Zhabdrung's Zeynam, Puna Domchoe and Tshechu Leyrim, and Pazaps Song.

In collaboration with Dzongkhag,  the Livestock Sector, Punakha organized cattle show at Samdingkha under Toedwang Gewog on 10th January 2020. The event was graced by Foreign Minister Lyonpo Tandin Dorji.

This year, 72 civil servants from the Dzongkhag were awarded medals and certificates. Among 72 award recipients, 45 were awarded Bronze, 16 were awarded silver, 5 were awarded gold, and 6 recipients were awarded lifetime service award recipient.

To commemorate the Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the 4th King, Punakha Dzongkhag joins the nation in offering prayers and butter lamps for His Majesty's long life and prosperity in the country.

Mr. Purna Bdr. Thatal, HA I who has served at Lobesa Sub-post under Barp Gewog for the last 7 years at Punakha receives the civil service award for his lifetime service. He has joined the service on 4th April 1989 and has served for 36 years.

Youth Engagement Camp under Punakha Dzongkhag which is commenced from 30th June 2019 ends today.

For the first time, the staff of Punakha Dzongkhag, Guide Association of Bhutan and public of Punakha old town and Changyul joins the nation in observing the "Zero Waste Hour" from 4:00 - 5:00PM
